Not every job needs lights you keep. If you need light on a site for a few weeks, a season, or a single weekend, hire it instead.
Who hires from us
- Construction and groundworks — compounds, walkways and welfare areas through the winter months.
- Events and festivals — car parks, entrances, footpaths and back-of-house.
- Temporary works — road and footpath closures, diversions, utility works.
- Farms and yards — lambing, harvest, and anywhere the work moves before the wiring could follow.
- Film and production — unit bases and parking on locations with no supply.
Why solar rather than a tower light
A diesel tower light needs fuel, refuelling visits, and somewhere to store the fuel. It runs loud, it smells, and on a site near housing it will generate complaints. Our units are silent, produce nothing at the point of use, and need no supply of any kind.
- No fuel and no refuelling visits. Nothing to deliver, meter or reconcile at the end of the hire.
- No generator noise. Suitable for sites next to housing, and for overnight running where a tower light would not be permitted.
- No cabling and no groundwork. Nothing to trip over and nothing to reinstate afterwards.
- Moved by two people. Reposition as the job moves rather than booking a plant movement.
- Dusk to dawn, automatic. Nobody has to be on site to switch anything on or off.
How it works
- Tell us the site and the dates. Roughly what area needs covering, how long for, and whether anything needs to be light all night or only on movement.
- We spec the units. How many, what output, and where they should sit to cover the area properly. We would rather send the right three than an optimistic two.
- Delivered, positioned and collected. You get them working, not dropped at a gate.
Hire terms
Hire is quoted per job, because a fortnight on a compound and a season on a farm track are not the same thing. Tell us what you need and we will price it properly rather than give you a day rate that turns out not to apply.
Buying instead
If the site is permanent, buying is almost always cheaper than hiring past a few months, and there is no running cost afterwards. We will tell you honestly which way round makes sense for your job — including when that means we hire you less.
